El Mundo Del Tango offers four-week beginner sessions for $30, and free introduction classes every Saturday night at 8 p.m. Linda Garwood, well-known in the San Diego tango community, also offers intermediate group lessons for $10 on Thursdays at 8 p.m.
And if you’re single on Valentine’s Day, why not go to a tango club? The UCSD Argentine Tango Club is a great way to meet people and have a fun time learning to dance. Located in Main Gym every Tuesday night from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., the club welcomes beginner and advanced tango dancers alike.
Additionally, Mira Mesa Mexican restaurant Tio Leo’s has tango dancing every Monday night and admission is free.
