Scientists led by UCSD physicist and professor Vivek Sharma have found potential glimpses of the so-called “God particle” — the Higgs Boson — and have narrowed the list of possible hiding places for the Higgs.

UC Davis students and staff, in conjunction with the Sacramento chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, held a press conference on April 12 to raise awareness of student monitoring on the Davis campus and potentially at others within the UC system.

In an effort to create a campus climate of cultural tolerance, the UCSD administration, including the Offices of the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor-Student Affairs, is spearheading a systemwide attempt to raise awareness on the importance of diversity. This effort is in response to the racially charged events that occurred last academic year.
