Making NCAA Nationals My Home

I have been to the NCAA Track & Field Championships three times and I’ll be leaving this Tuesday for my fourth. My freshman year, I barely made the grade, getting in by the skin of my teeth and finishing not much better, but as for the past two years, I have made Nationals my home.

Now or Never: Why I'm Going Pro

  Your last year in college is always a weird place to find yourself. You have accomplished something great in getting through the past four years of school, but the future, the next year, is paralyzingly scary. Senior year in college is especially worrying. It’s this moment in your life that your parents have planned to get you to. Now they will be cutting off the lead rope of your life. Now you have to kick it on your own.

Student-Athletes Find Success After Graduation

Graduation’s just as daunting for UCSD athletes as it is for any other undergraduate. Like any other postgrad, most find what work they can or head to graduate school.

But for some, the end of college does not mean the end of their sports careers.

Why Triton Women Win More Often

To get into the Fremont Hills Country Club, my grandparents had to buy a membership, an opportunity limited only to a select few. Here at UCSD, our athletes have SAT scores more than 100 points higher in math and reading than any other school in the CCAA. We also do not offer scholarships, at least not ones that actually pay for your education, housing or even books for one quarter.
